There
are two prices related to a superannuation fund: the entry price
and the exit price.
The exit price of a superannuation fund is normally determined
by the fund manager, through a valuation of the net assets of
the trust. The total value of the fund is divided by the number
of units issued, so if the fund is worth $25m and there are 10m
units, the fund exit price is $2.50. Notice, though, that some
fund prices are fixed. Please review the investment statement
for details of individual funds.
The entry price is usually the exit price plus any related
commission, service or other transaction fee.
The prices of superannuation funds can be found at
- The National Business Review,
- The web sites of individual fund managers.
